What makes Sebenzi better than traditional methods?
As a candidate Sebenzi protects your privacy. You are able to look for a job without your current employer knowing. Your contact details are never seen by employers or recruiters until such time as you accept their request to contact you.
Sebenzi gives candidates an incentive to have their CVs on the market. This ensures that the best people are always on the Sebenzi market.
Sebenzi helps you every step of the way. There is a help icon on every page as well as live help at your disposal. We will even enter your CV details for you if you are short of time.
Sebenzi gives you a more specialised CV to fill out and search. Your industry has its own set of requirements. We enable you to fill out and search information relevant to only your industry.
Why should I join if I´m currently employed?
Sebenzi offers you full protection. Your details remain private until such time as you accept a request to be contacted. This enables employers to provide you with better job opportunities privately without the risk of losing your existing job. Being on the job market ensures that you will inevitably land up in your perfect job.
So even if you are employed, join Sebenzi and get head hunted and find out what you are really worth!
Can I search jobs?
Not yet, but we will be launching this functionality soon. In the meantime register and fill in your CV - you have absolutely nothing to lose.
Why am I not being found or contacted?
There are a few reasons why you may not have been contacted. To stand the best chance of being found view the checklist below and ensure that you are up to date on all these items:
- Have you filled out all the CV fields? The more information you provide the better your chances of being found.
- Have you chosen the right industry? Each industry has its own unique CV. Employers may be looking for you but can't find you because you're listed in the wrong industry.
- Have you given yourself the best possible chance of being employed? Your location is vital to ensuring that employers find you. If you have listed yourself as only able to work in a small town, it is likely that employers are overlooking you. If you can work in a larger town, make sure you list yourself as being able to work there.
When and how do I get paid?
Your account is credited when you accept a request. i.e. when you agree to let an employer see your contact details. Your cash becomes available after a week has passed without the employer logging any complaints against the accuracy of your CV and contact information.
You provide us with your bank account details (in a secure and encrypted environment) and we transfer available cash directly to your bank account. Alternatively, you can choose to donate to a charity.
I don’t have time to fill in my CV. Can you help?
On registering you can simply send us your CV in a word, pdf, or any text formatted document and we will happily fill out your CV for you - saving you precious time. After we have filled out your CV you’ll be able to view it, edit it or add new information.
What happens when I accepts a contact request?
As a candidate, your contact details will become available to the employer whom requested your details. Cash will be credited to your account. After one week this cash will become available for cash out as long as there are no disputes logged against you by the employer.
Are my contact details 100% private?
Yes! Your details are completely private. You are under no obligation to share your contact or various CV details unless you choose to do so. Only when you accept a request to be contacted will your details be unlocked. They will also only be unlocked for the specific employer you allow to contact you. We protect your privacy at all costs.
Why does Sebenzi pay candidates? What's in it for you?
It's quite a simple formula. We have created Sebenzi around the concept of a market place. Employers pay us and we pay candidates a percentage of that. Everyone gains. Employers can find an ideal candidate at a fraction of the usual cost, candidates (whether employed or unemployed) find their perfect career (and get paid or can donate the money to charity).
What is a "Request"?
A "Request" is a request for contact details. If an employer requests your details, it means that they are wanting your contact details in order to interview you. Accepting a request does NOT constitute a job offer or job acceptance.
